Come along to Phoenix’s main auditorium between 3 & 6.30 PM. It’s all FREE!
Are you curious to learn about what it might be like to experience a neurodivergence? To raise and increase awareness of challenges someone might face, the Under the Umbrella team will hold drop-in sessions that allow you to step into the shoes of a young person navigating their school day with a neurodivergence. For around 20 to 25 minutes, Katie Emmison and a team of volunteers will guide you through this immersive and interactive experience. From English to PE and maths, you’ll get to experience common barriers people may face on a day-to-day and how easy it can be to implement micro changes that can support someone. It’s a safe environment with lots of opportunity to reflect and ask questions.

Let Us Know You’re Coming
If you are planning on dropping in, we’d appreciate if you could sign up here. This helps us plan ahead for the day.
The Under the Umbrella experience was designed by Dr. Abby Russell, Katie Emmison, and neurodivergent students to support neurodiversity in the classroom. As the team are eager to increase awareness, these drop-in sessions are suitable for everyone, not just teachers.
Afterwards, Abby will hold a talk on 9 Things You Never Knew About Neurodiversity. Tickets are £8.
