Walkie Talkie: Storying Water

Streatham Campus, University of Exeter

£0.00 Ticket

Following water’s lead, we’ll walk alongside the Taddiforde Brook through some of the greenest and wildest parts of the University of Exeter’s campus, think aqueous thoughts, speak about riverine topics, and listen – to extracts of texts about water, and to water itself.

Our guide is Ellen Wiles, a novelist, multidisciplinary artist, and academic. As artist-in-residence at CREWW, the Centre for Resilience in Environment, Water and Waste at the University of Exeter, she is working on a project exploring the wonder and fragility of the water system through sound and storytelling, untangling the web of processes that enable clear liquid to flow from our taps, now and into the future.

There will be a relatively steep hill involved, and a mud-prone footpath, so please wear appropriate footwear and bring a raincoat, just in case.

If the weather is terrible, we have an indoor Plan B!
