Poet and author Andy Brown, Professor of Creative & Critical Writing, is inviting us to join him for an autumnal walk and talk. We will take a short gentle walk around the arboretum on the University’s Streatham Campus. We’ll wander and meet a few interesting trees, hear about their biology, the fascinating compounds they contain, and their role in health and wellbeing. We’ll also listen to a few poems related to each of the species we’ll encounter, and think about trees in their cultural context as well as their natural one.

Andy is the author of ten books of poetry and two novels. He has published other books on poetry, health and wellbeing, including The Tree Climbing Cure (Bloomsbury).
Order your copy of the book and buy locally with Bookbag! You can buy it online here and collect in their store on Fore Street.
The event will run for approximately 60-75 minutes and we expect to walk for less than 1 mile. The walk is suited for those aged 8 and above. Please dress weather appropriately!
Meeting Point: We will meet at the University of Exeter’s Queen’s Building, outside Camper Coffee, The Queen’s Dr, Exeter EX4 4QH.
Disclaimer: There is limited opportunity to park on Streatham Campus. If you would like to attend the walk and rely on taking the bus ( UNI or 4), or would like to chat through accessibility, please do send us an email at contact@agile-rabbit.com. We’re happy to advise and help you further.
