Accessibility and Walk Itinerary
Sage Green CIC is situated on Powderham Estate. From the car park, we will walk approximately 1 mile to the garden and 1 mile to return. The route around the garden itself is around 50 metres, so if two miles are too far for you, but you would like to attend, get in touch with us as we can advise you on another option.
Public Transport: There is a regular bus (Bus 2) running between Exeter and Newton Abbot that stops right outside the main gate.
Meeting Point: We will meet in front of Powderham Farm Shop (EX6 8JQ) from 2.30 PM. There is a car park where you can leave your car.
Start: We will hand out wristbands to allow you to enter the estate and start walking to Sage Green CIC at 2.45 PM, so please arrive promptly.
Walk: We will be on our feet for around 90 minutes with some opportunities to sit down for a short rest. We will head back to the car park around 4 PM, and you can return at your own pace.
Toilets and Refreshments: There are no toilets at Sage Green! You can use the facilities at Powderham Farm Shop & Cafe or at the Reception along the way. Please bring water and snacks as required.
Accessibility: Due to the nature of the garden, this is not a wheelchair-accessible walk. If you are interested in attending a walkie talkie, there will be two fully-accessible walks over the summer: The Benefits of Blue Spaces and Fantastic Fungal Forage. The walk is suitable for those aged 8 and above.
