Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery

Bringing together local scientist and artists, we deliver partnership events with Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery in Truro.

2024: An Evening of Invention

Our teams collaborated to deliver an evening of art, science, and revolutionary engineering for those aged 13-25 and their families. We engaged our audience with workshops, stalls, and a series of talks to explore the workings behind life-changing mechanical inventions. Joined by University of Exeter researchers and scientists from the latest Mars rover exhibition, we facilitated conversations between the Cornish public and leading experts in the field.

The event was inspired by  Cabaret Mechanical Theatre and the Marvellous Mechanical Museum exhibition. Read more about the event here.

2025: A Wild Cornish Future!

The museum underwent an impressive transformation in 2025. The opening of its new and reimagined Nature Gallery showcases how the team are creating an interactive space for learning throughout the entire building. To take a closer look at the uniqueness of Cornwall’s beautiful landscape, we collaborated on a special conversation event. Nature writer Sophie Pavelle, Dr Mark Wilson from the University of Bath, and former BBC journalist Ali Vowles discussed biodiversity, nature connectedness, beavers, and climate change through a Cornish lens.
